During most seasons you can hire me out using the excellent facilities at Ghost Ranch to scout, shoot and print. This must be planned in advance and is more expensive than catalog classes. Another possibility is to group together fellow photographers with similar interests and run a contract class. These opportunities allow for more flexible schedules and to directly address your specific interests in subjects and locales. I can also accommodate a single photographer in my personal darkroom in Santa Fe for those who would like to use Santa Fe as a base. Expeditions to other states can be arranged, contact me with plenty of lead time if you would like to arrange any custom tours and classes.

There is interest in a contract at Ghost Ranch class in fine black and white printing in the spring of 2014. Subjects covered in class would be present paper choices, paper developers, toners, plus print finishing adn presentation. The class will run if we can get five participants. Contact me if you are interested.

I began taking photography classes in 1973 and earned two degrees in photography from the Ohio State University. Teaching at Ghost Ranch began in 1991 and has continued every year since. The Southwest desert has deeply attracted me and has been a primary subject since 1977. Over the years I have taught at nine colleges and universities.
