The advantage to the individual workshops is that they can be tailor made to your needs and abilities. If you have the inclination, time, resources, and can tolerate my personality, call and we will talk. A deposit is required aside from my instruction fee and you are responsible for my expenses (gas, food, lodging). During the cooler months I generally travel to more southern sites (the Sonoran Desert is one of my faves) and with the warmer months the north country opens up along with mountain work. The Utah landscape is close to my heart and I’ll shoot there most seasons (except in extreme heat).
Darkroom Instruction
The darkroom workshops will require additional fees determined by your usage of paper, film, chemical, and mounting materials. There is quite a range of possible subjects to focus on and I would encourage students who need to learn print finishing and mounting to use the Santa Fe darkroom, while using the excellent Ghost Ranch facilities offers general printing and easy access to the spectacular ranch landscape as well as Northern New Mexico. My Santa Fe darkroom only accommodates one other person at a time.
